Direct Chemical Treatment

Direct chemicals is a common termite treatment, unlike termiticides, it can actually be used inside of your home itself. If you spot a termite and want to dispatch it immediately, this is the technique for you. Shoot Termidor Foam directly into cracks, voids, and crevices that make for great termite hiding places. The odourless foam will expand, then evaporate, leaving behind a residue that poisons termites as soon as they touch it. This method lasts for a month and longer, we would then look at a future preventative plan.

Termite Baiting

Termite baits are a proven method. These baits are installed around the perimeter of your home’s foundation, attracting foraging termites to the poison within. The slow-acting toxin interrupts termites’ natural growth, killing them as they try to malt. Because of the toxin’s delayed action, the infected termites will bring the insecticide back to the colony and transmit it to other termites.

During the construction phase, the foundation is treated with special anti-termite solutions referred to as termiticides. Termites live in underground and they gain entry into a building via cracks in the foundation; in some cases, they may build mud tunnels over wall surfaces to enter a structure. This is why the underside and sides of the foundation are treated with specially-formulated termiticides that act as a repellent and keep termites away from the structure.
